a very important fondant update

Hello ladies and gentlemen (well, probably just my Mom, hi Mom!), this past weekend I covered my first ever cake in fondant! I’m taking the Wilton Course 3 class, and it’s pretty cool so far. The first week we just learned some more piping techniques, but this past weekend we made the “gift box” cake. I was super excited and wanted to share! I did some other baking this weekend, just don’t have time to write about it just now, so I hope this will tide you over until I can share my yummy Lemon Glazed Cookie recipe šŸ™‚

I made a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, fondant, and black raspberry filling.

You can see what the inside looked like too šŸ™‚ The bow deflated from the heat, but it didn’t affect the taste!
